Home: Welcome

I teach 9th grade Social Studies as well as 9th and 10th grade AVID classes at Analy High School, which is a public school located in Northern California. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a 4-year college prep program for students who are marginalized within the college environment such as first-generation college bound students. I am a graduate of this program and would not be where I am today without it.

This year I have focused on how to further integrate technology into all of my classes so students can learn skills that they can apply to their future academics and careers.

In 8th grade, I fell in love with history because of my History teacher. I knew from that moment that I wanted to study history in college and become a teacher so I could inspire the future generation to enjoy history as well and understand why it is important to understand our history.
